At Honesdale, Ian Langendoefer led all scorers with 23 points and Adam Kelly added 20 to lead Honesdale in the first round of the District 2 Class AAA tournament. Anthony Shaver had 15 points and Kyle Musto scored 13 for the Warriors.

Wyoming Area 50 - Lake Lehman 58

2/11/16 At Lake-Lehman, Kyre Zielinski scored 11 points in Wyoming Area's win over Lake-Lehman. Matt Wright added 10 points for the Warriors. Cole Spencer scored a game-high 13 points for Lake-Lehman.

Wyoming Seminary 51- Wyoming Area 43  (OT)

At Wyoming Seminary, Patrick Ganter notched five of his game-high 18 points in overtime, and the Blue Knights outlasted the Warriors. Jeff Bevacqua added 15 points for Sem, while Kyle Musto hit a pair of 3s and finished with seven points for Wyoming Area.

Meyers 71- Wyoming Area 42

2/6/16 At Wyoming Area, Matt Dessoye scored 12 points, while Levaugn Soules added 10 to help Meyers roll post Wyoming Area. Ryan Gilgallon and Julian Maffei each had nine points for the Mohawks who wrapped up the Division 3 title earlier this week. Tony Saitta led Wyoming Area with 13 points.

At Hanover Area, Sam Greenfield scored 22 points and Kyle Musto added 14 to lead Wyoming Area to its second consecutive victory. Kyre Zielinski added 12 and Matt Wright 10 for the Warriors. Tyler Diggs led Hanover Area with 17 points. Nick Minnich added 16, and Brandon Chafin eight.

WA 65 - Holy Redeemer 57

2-2-16 At Holy Redeemer,  Tony Saitta led Wyoming Area with 15 points, while Anthony Nardell and Anthony Shaver each had 12 in a win over Holy Redeemer. The Warriors snapped a two-game losing streak.  Jason Stachokus led Holy Redeemer with 19 points. John Carr added 15, and Zack Brennan 10.

Nanticoke  68 - WA 49

1-29-16 At Wyoming Area, Scott Stout scored 15 points and Cody Piestrak added a season-high 14 as Nanticoke Area extended its winning streak to three. Luke Butczynski chipped in with 11 for the Trojans.  Kyle Musto and Sam Greenfield each had 14 points for Wyoming Area. All three of Musto's field goals were 3-pointers.

GAR 43 - WA 36

1-26-16 At Wyoming Area, Dajon Rush scored a game-high 14 points to lead GAR past Wyoming Area.  Matt Wright scored eight points, while Tony Saittaand Sam Greenfield each had six for Wyoming Area.

Wyoming Area 55 -Northwest 20

1/22 At Northwest, Sam Greenfield scored 17 points to lead a balanced scoring attack as Wyoming Area defeated Northwest. Tony Saitta had eight points for the Warriors, while Kyre Zielinski chipped in with seven. The Warriors had nine players score and were 6 for 10 from the free-throw line. Mitchell Mazonkey led Northwest with seven points. Nick LEvandowski added four.


Wyoming Area 56 - MMI Prep 50
1/19 At Wyoming Area, Anthony Shaver and Tony Saitta each had 12 points, and Sam Greenfield added 10 to help Wyoming Area snap a three-game losing streak. Kyre Zielinski chipped in with 10 and Kyle Musto eight for the Warriors. John Stish led MMI Prep with 17 points. Kyle Williams had 12 and Ed Herbener nine.

Lake Lehman 49 - Wyoming Area 46
1/15 At Wyoming Area, Ben Brooks scored a season-high 22 points, while Jake Corey, Adam Motovidlak and Cole Spencer all had five as Lake-Lehman won for the second time in its last three games. Sam Greenfield led Wyoming Area with 10 points. Anthony Nardell and Matt Wright each had nine for the Warriors who dropped their third consecutive game. 

GAR 53 - Wyoming Area 44
1/13 At GAR, Dajon Rush scored a game-high 21 points to lead GAR to a 53-44 win over Wyoming Area in WVC boys basketball action Wednesday night. Keyshawn Palmer added 16 in the win. Sam Greenfield scored 12 points to lead Wyoming Area.

1/5 At Wyoming Area, Tony Saitta led all scorers with 17 points as Wyoming Area opened the regular season with a victory. Anthony Nardell and Anthony Shaver each scored nine for Wyoming Area. Nick Minnich led Hanover Area with 10 points. 

Wyoming Area 91 - Western Wayne 59
12/29 At Western Wayne, Wyoming Area put together a huge offensive effort on the road Tuesday night, scoring 28 points each in the second and third quarters for a 91-59 rout of Western Wayne. Tony Saitta led the way with 20 points and hit four of the team’s 11 baskets from 3-point range. Kyle Musto made six 3-pointers while scoring 18 points. Kyre Zielinski also had 18 and Sam Greenfield added 13. The Warriors outscored the Wildcats in every quarter. They jumped in front, 18-6, after one quarter and stretched the lead to 72-46 after three quarters.

Dallas 61 - Wyoming Area 41

12/28 At Dallas, Alex Charlton scored 17 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, helping the Mountaineers cruise to a victory. Teammate Tanner Gattuso added 16 points. Tony Saitta scored a team-high 13 points for the Warriors. 

Crestwood 63 - Wyoming Area 45
12/22 At Wyoming Area, Tim McCue scored 17 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter, helping the Comets pull away for a victory. Teammate Josh Malkemes added 16 points. Sam Greenfield led the Warriors with 11 points.

Pittston Area 54 - Wyoming Area 42
12/18 At Wyoming Area, Jordan Black scored a game-high 18 points to lead Pittston Area past Wyoming Area. Pat Mitchell added 14 points for the winners. Tony Saitta led Wyoming Area with 16 points and Kyre Zielinski added 12.  Team MVPs:  Jordan Black, PA  -   Kyre Zielinski, WA

Wyoming Area 37 - Mountain View 34
12/16 At Wyoming Area, Sam Greenfield scored eight points to help Wyoming Area pull out a narrow win over Mountain View. Matt Wright finished with seven points for the Warriors. Deon Faramelli scored a game-high 14 points to lead Mountain View.

Coughlin 32 - Wyoming Area 29
12/11 At Wyoming Area, Eli McAllister hit five field goals and was 7 for 11 from the line as he recorded 17 points to help Coughlin narrowly top Wyoming Area, 32-29, in a boys basketball game on Friday. Both Jose Rivera and Devin Rajea hit 3-pointers for the Crusaders. Wyoming Area was led by Tony Saitta who scored 12 points. Sam Greenfield finished with five points in the loss.

North Pocono 58 - Wyoming Area 43
12/10 At North Pocono, Tom Miner scored 17 points to lead the Trojans. Randy Bocan added nine points for the winners. Tony Saitta had 11 points for Wyoming Area.

Wyoming Area 47 - Tunkhannock 46
12/8 At Tunkhannock, Sam Greenfield led a balanced scoring attack with 10 points as Wyoming Area picked up its first win of the year. It is the second one-point game in as many nights for the Warriors. Tony Saitta hit the winning basket at the buzzer for the Warriors. Kyre Zielinski  had nine for Wyoming Area, while Matt Wright chipped in with eight. Ethan Hoefert had 12 points for  Tunkhannock. Sean Harder had 11, while Evan Turner added 10.

Old Forge 59 - Wyoming Area 58
12/7 At Old Forge, Ben Grochowski scored a game-high 21 points and Nick Peloski scored 18 to lead the Blue Devils. Eric Parker scored 14 for the winners. Tony Saitta scored 17 points and Sam Freenfield added 11 to lead Wyoming Area.
